Tired of creating boring text-based Google ads?

if you are viewing this text

On May 22, 2024, Google reshaped how ads interact with their audience.

Introducing a feature that allows users to create 3D models into an ad by simply uploading pictures to the Google Ads manager is a groundbreaking move that leaves one to wonder—how is Google doing it? Gen AI, like it says? Photogrammetry or pasting the extracted texture from the given photo on a previously available base 3D model?

Only time will tell……

Additionally, the announcement states that Google will be rolling out video-based ads with product tags for a better user experience. Along with VTO ads, which are created considering the diversity to cater to different sizes and complexions.

There is little doubt that these three ad formats will certainly open doors for creativity in marketing. With near-perfect product visualizations and ease of size and body type clothes visuals, shopping online is becoming a breeze.

With such constant innovations, it is no wonder more people are gravitating toward e-commerce every day.

Volumetric Apps for VR Headsets

Turns out we can…

Microsoft has announced a new initiative called Windows Volumetric Apps, which will bring Windows applications into the 3D space on Meta's Quest VR headsets. This means that instead of just seeing traditional flat windows, you can interact with 3D elements of your PC apps in mixed reality, making for a more immersive and interactive experience.

These apps use a new API that developers can integrate into their software, allowing it to take advantage of the Quest's VR capabilities. You can access these volumetric apps by streaming them from a physical PC on your network or a Windows 365 cloud PC, which you'll see as virtual monitors within the headset.

This move is part of a broader partnership between Microsoft and Meta, which has brought Office apps and Xbox Cloud Gaming to the Quest. The goal is to enhance how we use and interact with software by leveraging VR's immersive possibilities.

Can virtual reality treat eating disorders?

Researchers at the University of Louisville developed a VR tool called Awaken Emerse to help treat eating disorders. This innovative tool lets users face their fears in a virtual setting by adjusting their avatars to see their bodies gain weight, helping them manage and reduce their anxieties. It thereby aims to cut down on the high relapse rates often seen with traditional therapies.

Marvel is at it again. Now, creating immersive shows for VR.

In collaboration with Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), Marvel Studios is developing an hour-long mixed reality experience titled "What If...? – An Immersive Story" for the Apple Vision Pro. This groundbreaking project leverages the advanced capabilities of the Apple Vision Pro headset, including spatial computing and passthrough technology, to create an immersive viewing environment for users.

For all the budding artists- your private art teacher.

"Pencil" for Meta Quest 3 blends VR and traditional drawing by tracing paper with a VR controller and overlaying digital elements and instructions. You'll use your hands to navigate menus and receive helpful text and voice prompts as you draw. Plus, you can tweak your drawings digitally and even practice with virtual still-life objects.
